Tzedek/Social Justice

Social Justice at Columbia/Barnard Hillel is incredibly strong thanks to the work of our socially-minded students. Our programming covers a broad range of activities. From lecture series to tutoring projects to the wonderful Challah for Hunger project and a new initiative to “green” the Kraft Center, there is truly a project for everyone! We have fruitful partnerships with communities in Africa and South America and offer Social Justice-focused alternative spring breaks. The Kraft Clothing Pantry is another fantastic opportunity for members of the community to give back.
